We love Southwestern/Tex-Mex food at this house. Between all the tortilla chips and black beans that live in our pantry, and our frequent need for something quick and easy on weeknights (ultimate nachos, anyone?), taco seasoning is a staple.

Feeling a bit low after the holidays is something very familiar in our household. It’s freezing cold outside, sickness is usually running rampant (in both our family and our friends’ families), and it sometimes feels like there’s nothing fun to do or look forward to.
Any other teachers out there excited about a fresh start, new activities/curriculum, or even new décor for the new year? I am 110% that nerdy teacher who gets pumped about changing bulletin boards. Fair warning. 😀
Although baking is fairly high on my priority list during Christmastime, there are some days that we just can’t fit it in. Sadly, we don’t have a Starbucks nearby either, for an emergency coffee-scented atmosphere. Thankfully though, that doesn’t mean my house can’t smell like a coffee house or a freshly baked holiday dessert, though!
