There are many a debated method for the perfect way to make Puppy Chow. Even its name has been controversial! (Muddy Buddies, anyone?) But after lots of experimentation, I decided to write down what OUR family has deemed the absolute perfect Puppy Chow recipe.
Making this recipe was a late night (chocolate-craving-induced) decision, so the name for these cocoa, chocolate chip, oat and banana squares is definitely goofy. But don’t let the name fool you! They’re quick to make, perfectly delicious, and a healthful choice for on-the-go snacking.
Well, the forecast is set…we’re supposed to get over an inch of ICE in the next 24 hours. The freezing rain has already begun. Several athletic events and church activities in our area are already being cancelled, the grocery store was nuts last nigh, and my newsfeed on Facebook has been nothing but radar images for the last day and a half! Ah, the beauty of living through a Midwest winter. 🙂
Although baking is fairly high on my priority list during Christmastime, there are some days that we just can’t fit it in. Sadly, we don’t have a Starbucks nearby either, for an emergency coffee-scented atmosphere. Thankfully though, that doesn’t mean my house can’t smell like a coffee house or a freshly baked holiday dessert, though!
The holiday season has me craving chocolate like crazy! And what goes better with chocolate than coffee? I am a mocha lover 110%.
