I’d be lying if I said I didn’t absolutely love a good fairy tale. And guys, if you’ve got a preschooler at home who loves them too, these books are gold!!
So my goal was to post about our fun library finds once each month, but with baby on the way, that has proved a bit more difficult than once imagined!
What does your “spring break” look like? Traveling to see family? Taking a day or two off work? Having all your kids home from school? Catching up on spring cleaning? Planting a garden?
While working on this dinosaur post series, I thought it might be nice to add a list of our favorite dinosaur books and resources that we’ve found and used throughout our dinosaur unit study.
Teaching little ones is tough! Even though the internet is a wonderful tool to use for hunting down parenting and teaching ideas, it’s nice every once in a while to have a physical book to look through.
Dramatic play is so valuable – it’s one of those educational areas I don’t ever want to stop providing – okay, or doing myself, too! Whether for your little kids or you little kids at heart, dramatic play helps develop friendships, fosters creativity and deepens imaginations, and creates opportunities for further growth and learning in other academic areas.
This post is dedicated to dressing up like dinosaurs, and the perfect dinosaur books and activities to use with them while playing!
Wednesday is library day for us. And while every library day is not this dramatic, we’ve certainly had our moments. I’m thinking (mostly hoping) there might be a few others who can relate…
Here’s my fail proof system for picking out a new book at the library when my toddler’s with me.
The storm we were prepping for finally hit!
Of course, the usual indoor activities of Netflix, playing “dinosaur” – a glorified game of chase – and lots of naps have happened too. I’m working hard on being content in the quiet, still moments. I’m glad God reminded me this weekend to slow down a little with this beautiful storm.
Every Wednesday is library day for us. That means story time for Bundle, quiet shelf browsing time for me (until baby comes! 🙂 ) and stacks and stacks of books for all of us.
This week we really went a bit crazy…but we found some great gems!
