Almond Milk Cinnamon Honey Latte

After a warm-ish (100+ degree), Midwestern August week, today’s rain is like a balm for this fall-loving mama’s soul!

I’m already shamelessly busting out the pumpkins, lanterns, and cinnamon-flavored EVERYTHING. ❤

I created this delish and easy-to-make latte recipe in hopes that it will go ahead and bring on the fall! Naturally dairy and gluten free, this fall-inspired latte is a companion recipe to my Poor Girl’s Mocha from my former blog, Baking con Brio. It’s perfect for whipping up (in less than five minutes!) whether you own a fancy espresso machine or not!

Ingredients:

1 c. vanilla flavored (sweetened or unsweetened) almond milk
1 c. hot espresso or strongly brewed coffee (I’m in love with Aldi’s fair trade Barissimo medium roast!)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. local raw honey

Pour hot coffee in your favorite mug. Gently stir honey and cinnamon into the coffee and set aside. In a small saucepan, heat the almond milk, constantly stirring with a whisk until bubbly and frothy. Pull off heat and pour half the milk into the mug with the coffee and honey. Use a large spatula or spoon to keep the froth in the saucepan. Add the froth to the top of the drink, and sprinkle with cinnamon for a sweet, spicy garnish!

Yep, there ARE a few sips already gone in this photo. Also, how adorable is this dollar store tea towel??

I make this at least once a week when I’ve got a coffee-shop latte craving, but don’t have time or cash to swing by my favorite cafe.

Be sure to share with a friend who loves their lattes.

Happy almost-fall! ❤
