Who says breakfast can’t involve chocolate? 🙂
I’ve finally updated my beloved Cinnamon Crunch Granola recipe with a much-needed dose of cocoa! I honestly don’t know what took me so long… the chocolate and hint of cinnamon make for the perfect healthy-but-decadent snack.
It also takes a relatively short amount of time and ingredients to create. That’s a win in my busy-mom book!
Chocolate Crunch Granola
*Takes 25 minutes (excluding cooling time)
*Makes 1.5 quarts
4 c. oats
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. olive oil
1/2 c. honey
1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a large baking sheet.
Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl, and stir gently to combine. Make sure there are plenty of larger and smaller chunks – the liquids and brown sugar should be well-incorporated into the mixture. Pour the whole mixture out onto the baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes, turning over gently every 5 minutes. Remove from oven and allow 30 minutes to cool. This allows the “crunch” to fully set in. 🙂
Enjoy with fresh strawberries and milk, or vanilla yogurt, or even over ice cream!
I find this granola stores best in a glass mason jar, but any sealable container will work.
The sweet, crunchy granola really feels more like a treat, and always satisfies my chocolate craving. Plus, it turns the milk into chocolate milk – A Bundle favorite. What’s not to love?
Hope you give this new, tweaked recipe a try!

This looks so indulgent and delicious 😊

Thanks! I may or may not have eaten it plain out of the container with a giant spoon the other night… 😉 I hope you like it too!
