Ever have a hard time finding something sweet, salty, healthy, and filling enough to satisfy your snack-tooth?
(Yes, snack-tooth is a thing…right?)
These cute little, sweet-and-salty bites are kid and parent approved and definitely come packed with energy and good-for-you nutrients. Just one of these bites can keep me full all morning long. Plus, in the heat of summer, isn’t not cooking or baking in order to create a healthy snack a huge plus?
I could literally write a list the size of my refridgerator why these are awesome, but I’ll let these treats speak for themselves. 🙂
4 Ingredient Energy Bites
Makes two dozen.
Ingredients:
2 1/2 c. quick oats
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. honey
1 c. mini dark chocolate (or semi-sweet) chips
*Note* Oats are naturally gluten free, but be sure to check for cross-contamination on your nutrition allergen label if you need to eliminate trace possibilities (for Celiac’s Disease or High Gluten Intolerance).
Mix together in a large bowl until all ingredients are combined and you have a big, sticky mass of dough.
Coat your hands with oil or cooking spray and roll the dough into 1.5 (ish) inch balls. Store in the fridge in an airtight container, and devour serve!
Our daughter discovered these this morning. They were a definite win – a gluten free, sweet, salty, no-bake, delicious snack for the win!

Yum! I made something similar with a few drops of Thieves vitality essential oil added in for a great immunity boost. Feel free to check it out on our blog.
